Frequently Asked Questions

General

Renters in Fargo can choose from neighborhoods that range from converted downtown rail and warehouse blocks to quiet, tree-lined residential streets just minutes away. These areas stand out for apartment living:

U10

Bordered by University Drive and 10th Street at the western edge of downtown, U10 grew up around the old Northern Pacific rail and warehouse trade and now blends that industrial character with modern apartment living. The Landing at 1001 NP calls this neighborhood home, and the area carries a Walk Score of 94, one of the highest in the city. It suits renters who want a short walk to Broadway without giving up a quieter residential feel.

Downtown Fargo and the Broadway Corridor

Broadway and Main Avenue are downtown Fargo's two busiest streets, lined with independently owned restaurants, bars, and boutiques inside restored early-1900s brick buildings. The Fargo Theatre, a 100-year-old Art Deco landmark, anchors this stretch with year-round films and live shows. Renters drawn to nightlife and walkable dining tend to land here.

SoMA

South of Main Avenue, SoMA is a smaller mixed-use pocket where downtown's commercial core starts to give way to residential streets. It offers a slightly quieter alternative to the busiest blocks of Broadway while staying within walking distance of downtown.

Hawthorne

Just south of downtown, Hawthorne is one of Fargo's older residential neighborhoods, known for tree-lined streets and early-20th-century homes. It suits renters who want proximity to downtown amenities without living directly inside the commercial core.

The Landing at 1001 NP's spot in the U10 neighborhood puts residents within walking or biking distance of downtown Fargo's arts, dining, and market scene. Popular attractions nearby include:

  • Fargo Theatre
  • Plains Art Museum

  • Broadway Square
  • Red River Market (Saturdays, July through October)
  • Red River Zoo
  • Red River walking and biking trails
  • Dempsey's Public House
  • Downtown Fargo Street Fair
  • Fargodome

Most of these are within a 10-minute walk or bike ride of The Landing's rooftop patio and secure bike storage.

The Landing at 1001 NP sits in downtown Fargo, close enough to reach most of the city's major employers in well under 15 minutes by car. Major employers within an easy commute include:

Rooftop Patio and Clubhouse Social Spaces

The rooftop patio and its grilling stations give residents a place to gather with downtown skyline views, while the clubhouse's Pepsi Grab & Go Micro Market covers a quick coffee or snack without leaving the building. The state-of-the-art fitness center rounds out the shared spaces, letting residents train year-round without a commute to an outside gym.

Pet-Friendly Perks Built for North Dakota Winters

Cats and dogs are welcome with no breed restrictions, and a heated pet relief area plus a dedicated wash station make daily walks manageable even when temperatures drop. Weight limits and pet fees apply, and management has final approval on all pets.

Smart-Home Technology and Industrial-Style Interiors

Every apartment includes SmartRent technology for pin-code entry, early leak detection, and temperature monitoring, paired with stainless-steel appliances, an in-unit washer and dryer, and 9-foot ceilings. We use a Ratio Utility Billing System (commonly known as a RUBS program), which is a method for allocating master billed utility expenses to residents of a multifamily community. Rather than simply taking the bill and dividing it by the number of units, RUBS considers the square footage of a unit, and the number of residents. This does not include any common areas, hallways, or garage areas. The tenant would only be responsible for the square footage and occupancy of their unit. The vendor who will be providing these billing services is Yardi Energy Services (YES). When the new billing services begin, you will receive contact information and can reach out to YES for any questions or concerns regarding your bill
